Our Team

Robert Brown | Co-Founder and Senior Partner

Rob is the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Impact Research for Atlas Impact Partners.  He has been an Economist, Research Director, and Portfolio Manager for 34 years on Wall Street. 

Prior to founding Atlas Impact Partners, he was Head of Research at JUST Capital, Senior Portfolio Manager for AllianceBernstein Equity Strategies, and Managing Director and Head of Equity Research for Nomura Securities International. Earlier, he worked at Morgan Stanley in various global senior leadership roles where he was last responsible for the Global Macro Research team. 

His passion for creating impact extends to the nonprofit sector, where Rob is an Executive Board member and Vice President of the READ Foundation, a member of the Advisory Board of The Brandeis University International Business School, and Chairman of the Board of The InHEIRitance Project.   

He is a member of the investment board of the Michael Price Fund at New York University and a former member of the investment committee for the endowment at Brandeis University. Rob lectures on issues of impact measurement and metrics and data standards at Columbia University Business School and is a member of the Academic Advisory Council for the Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment. 

Rob earned a BA, cum laude, in Economics and an MA in International Economics from Brandeis University, with joint course work in econometrics at the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics at Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. 

David Castricone​ | Co-Founder and Partner

David is the Co-Portfolio Manager for Atlas Impact Partners.  He has been an Analyst and Portfolio Manager for 24 Years.   

Prior to Co-Founding Atas Impact Partners, David was Senior Vice President, Senior Securities Analyst, and Co-Portfolio Manager at Columbus Circle Investors, where he invested in a broad range of public equities within the global healthcare sector. David helped develop and manage two widely recognized, successful fundamental long/short strategies. 

Previously, David was Vice President at Presidio Investors in San Francisco, where he focused on venture capital and private equity transactions in the Technology and Healthcare sectors. He began his career as an Analyst in Equity Research at the investment bank Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette, covering the healthcare sector.  

David is actively involved in the breast cancer research community and is a committed supporter of cancer research. 

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Alabama.  

David Lowish​ | Co-Founder and Partner

David is the Co-Portfolio Manager for Atlas Impact Partners.  He has been an Analyst and Portfolio Manager for 23 Years.   

Prior to founding Atlas Impact Partners, David was a Partner at Generation Investment Management, where he also served as Partner of The Climate Solutions Fund. Earlier, David was employed at Goldman Sachs Asset Management International Ltd. where he was responsible for co-management of the Goldman Sachs European and International Small Cap Strategy and was an Analyst covering industrial, energy, consumer, and real estate stocks in the small and mid-cap space.  

David has served as a Director of GreenRoad Technologies, Inc. and as a board observer for Proterra.  

David graduated from Trinity College Cambridge with a first class BA Honours Degree in Modern Languages and earned a Diploma with Mention AB from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris in Economics and International Relations.  He was awarded the CFA certification. 

Richard Billig​ | Partner

Richard is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Atlas Impact Partners. He has been a Finance and Accounting professional for 30 years on Wall Street. 

Prior to joining as a Partner at Atlas Impact Partners, Richard was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Ampere Capital Management, where he was responsible for all non-investment functions including accounting, operations, infrastructure, and marketing. 

Previously, Richard was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley & Co, where he spent 17 years in Prime Brokerage, including leadership roles within Client Service and Business Development. He has been Assistant Treasurer at Chase Manhattan Bank within the fund administration group and a mutual fund accountant at Lord Abbett & Co.  

Richard received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Oneonta State University.

Tyler Smith | Senior Analyst

Tyler covers Industrials, Renewable Energy, and Consumer Discretionary at Atlas Impact Partners.

Tyler previously focused on Electrification, Mobility, Cybersecurity and Consumer Discretionary at Impower Capital Management, a long/short equity manager in New York City. Prior to Impower, Tyler spent 2 years focused on domestic and international equities at Bienville Capital, a multi-asset investment firm focused on transformations in global economics, technology, and geopolitics. Tyler began his career in 2014 as an associate in Franklin Templeton Investments’ institutional portfolio solutions platform, where he held roles in portfolio construction, cross-asset and long/short equity manager research.

Tyler holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Middlebury College.

Ricki Levitus​ | Analyst

Ricki covers Healthcare and Impact at Atlas Impact Partners.

Ricki started with Atlas Impact Partners as an Impact Analyst Intern during her MBA program. Ricki has a background in Molecular Biology laboratory research, having presented her findings at both regional and national conferences. She also has experience in translational and pre-clinical laboratory research.

Ricki holds a BS, magna cum laude, in Biochemistry from Brandeis University and a Social Impact MBA focused in Impact Investing and Impact Measurement from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
